Alison Maguire
I qualified with a first class Biological Sciences degree (specialising in medical biology) in 2007 from Warwick University and although a Chartered Accountant by trade, I have always maintained a keen interest in medicine and medical research.
My interest in Ketogenic therapy began in 2005 when my baby daughter was diagnosed with a complex epilepsy syndrome and numerous anticonvulsant drugs failed to bring her seizures under control.
Since that date I have been working closely with the Matthew’s Friends Charity providing parental support for tube fed children using the practical experience I gained over the 3 years my daughter was tube fed on the Ketogenic diet, as well as accounting support for the charity.
My role in the centre will be:
- Tube feeding support
- Accounting and Professional Advice
- Ketogenic Diet Research Assistant
